3 Bed Semi Detached had a complete renovation and remodel from top to bottom including a small rear extension.

Rachel and her fiancé had bought this house to ‘do up’ with a vision to make their own stamp on it.  As it is their first home together, they wanted to make it just right and invest wisely.  They got some plans drawn up by the architect and then looked around for some contractor quotes.

The entire house renovation project was taken care of and managed by Declan and the Shorycon team.  They took care of everything – from insulation, plastering, plumbing and heating systems to tiling and painting.  They also created a stairway access to their attic for storage.  The couple just hired their own electrician who was known well to them.

The existing small rear extension was demolished and replaced with a modest extension with stunning wide glass panel doors onto the garden.  A gorgeous new kitchen was fitted in this large open plan space complete with dining and sitting room areas and makes ‘a huge difference’ according to Rachel.  “We also love the underfloor heating in the downstairs area too.  It is a lovely experience.” 

‘The reaction from family and friends was fantastic”, said Rachel. “My Mother wants to do something similar too for her own kitchen and have such impressive sliding glass doors as a feature.”
